Garrett – Mark W. Sliger, 64, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016, at his home in Garrett.

He was born July 17, 1951, in Garrett to Joe and Echo (Shanahan) Sliger.

Mark worked hard driving a truck for the past 30 years.

He enjoyed socializing with friends and family, collecting farm machinery miniatures, playing cards, and working outside at his home in rural Garrett.

He is survived by a daughter, Keri A. (Mike) Wonsey of Farwell, Michigan; a brother, John P (Teckla) Sliger of Garrett; a sister, Ruth L. (Craig) Colvin of Fort Wayne; and his much loved dog and companion, Baby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Benjamin J. Embody.

Services will be noon Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with the Rev. Duane Grady officiating. Burial will take place in Christian Union Cemetery in rural Garrett.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne or the Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren.
