Mary Maynard Obituary

Mary Alana Maynard January 31, 1958 – December 27, 2018 Mary passed away at 60 years old, 58 years longer than all the doctors said she would live. She loved to prove people wrong and obviously she was very good at it. Mary loved everyone she had ever met. Everyone instantly became her boyfriend or girlfriend. Mary enjoyed playing Yahtzee, 10 Thousand and Trouble. She loved her cards and dice, endless hours of putting together puzzles, listening to music, singing and religiously watching her favorite cartoons. Mary had an amazing memory. She could always remember everyone’s birthdays and made sure we never forgot hers, reminding us to be sure to bring gifts, always excited about Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny because they brought her gifts as well. Mary loved playing games with her great nieces and great nephew as long as they didn’t make a mess in her room because anything a mess drove Mary crazy. Mary is survived by a sister, Jani James of Fremont; uncle, Gerald (Dorothy) Ford of Easton, MD; cousins, Karin Ford of Easton, MD and Dean Ford of Estacada, OR; niece, Joetta (Denzlo) Hagerty of Fort Wayne, (Shaun (Sandra) Hagerty of Churubusco); nephew, Eric (Kissandra Cope) James of Angola, (Jasmine Keen, Trinity Keen, Ben James, Caitlin James, Leighton James); niece, Kelly James of Waterloo; niece, Jennifer James of Churubusco, (Matthew Palmerton, Rylee Palmerton); nephew, Jimmy (Amanda) James Jr. of Fremont, (Elysa James, Allysen James, Kaly James, Lacey James). Mary was preceded in death by grandfather Shelda Ford, grandmother Alta Ford, grandmother Kathrine Ford, mother Marilee Cheek, father Charles Maynard, cousin Michael Ford, brother in law Jimmy James Sr., great nephews Kurtis Kunkle and Kyle Kunkle, great niece Grace James. With heavy hearts we say goodbye until we meet again. We will miss you and cherish each moment we had you in our lives. We love you to the moon and back.
