Mary Jo Schrader

Mary Jo Schrader, age 80, of Auburn passed away on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Golden Years Homestead, 3136 Goeglein Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815. Mary Jo was born on May 17, 1938 in Fort Wayne to Frank and Josephine (Hein) Hause.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. She married Paul J. Schrader on August 9, 1958 in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2017. Mary Jo was a creative woman of many talents. She had a love for nature, birds and flowers. She was a beautiful seamstress and worked in upholstery, enjoyed quilting, coloring and maintained a beautiful flower garden in all seasons. She was a wise woman with such STRENGTH, beauty, and grace. She has influenced and touched people’s lives in ways we could never put into words.

Mary Jo is survived by 6 daughters, Pam (Mark) Morton of Hamilton, Beth (Mark) Akey of Fort Wayne, Susan Blasch of Tallahassee, Florida, Jill (Larry) Pizer of Angola, Karen (Mike) Harris of Waterloo and Tracy (Brian) Bell of Auburn; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a brother and a sister, Bill (Janet, deceased) Hause of Fort Wayne, Janet (Joe) Neely of Columbia city, 2 sister-in-laws; Barb (Dave) Hoevel of Fort Wayne and Sonja Carder of Orlando, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers Raymond Hause & Ronald “Gene” Hause.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 500 East Seventh Street in Auburn with Father Timothy Wrozek officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street in Auburn and also 1 hour prior to the mass at the church on Friday.

A Vigil Service will take place Thursday at 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
