Michael J. Buchs, 56, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, June 11, 2018. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 28, 1962, in Auburn to Harold and Dixie (Casselman) Buchs, and they survive in Auburn.
Michael worked for Nucor Building Systems in Waterloo.
He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship in Kendallville.
He loved first and foremost God, family, friends and the Colts. His other hobbies and interests include fishing, hunting, gardening, vacationing, mushroom hunting, projects around the house, his dog, and his grandkids' sporting events.
Michael married Marilyn Bishir on June 20, 1998, in Waterloo, and she survives in Waterloo.
Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Kira and Justin Kline of Hamilton, and Brittany DePew of Ashley; five grandchildren, Ryan, Reaghan, Emalynn, Lily, and Ezzy; and three siblings, Denny Buchs of McClish Lake, Kelly Getts of Corunna and Nancy Howard of Auburn.
A celebration of life service will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with Pastor Percy Young officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
