Mildred L. (Geisinger) Woods

Mildred L. Woods, 90, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at her home in St. Joe, Indiana.

Mrs. Woods was a homemaker.

She was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Auburn to the late Samuel B. and Hazel (McCellan) Geisinger.

She married Richard S. Woods I on June 2, 1946, in Kendallville, and he died Nov. 15, 1973.

Surviving are six children and their spouses, Thomas A. and Laura Woods of St. Joe, Scott D. Woods of St. Joe, Eric E. and Kathy Woods of St. Joe, Mary C. and Rick Liberty of Auburn, Penny L. and Dwight Liberty of St. Joe, and Kelly A. Woods of St. Joe; 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard S. Woods II; daughter, Joyce A. Davis; three sisters, Elnora Brown, Georgina Bodey and Betsy Geisinger; and a brother, Hubert Geisinger.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Tom Cupka officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
