Nicolias A. Slaughter

Nicolias Slaughter, 26, of Butler, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019, at St. Joe Hospital in Fort Wayne. 

He was born December 21, 1992, in Fort Wayne. 

Nicolias will always be remembered for his goofy grin, infectious laugh and free spirit. He was the life of any, all, and every party. He was always quick to lend a hand, help a friend, or simply be there for a friend in need. Nic will be remembered most for his gentle spirit and generous heart which will live on through his gift of life to others. Our loss is now Heavens gain.  

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Melanie R. and Bryan A. Chadwell; father, Anthony D. Slaughter; five siblings, Justin Chadwell, Alyssa Wolfe, Harley Kaye, Andrew Chadwell, and Nicholas Kinder; and grandparents, Vicki and J.C. Meier, Penelope McClish, and Earl (Donna) Himes. 

A memorial service will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with the Rev. Kevin Marsh officiating. 

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial be given to Melanie Chadwell to help with funeral and medical expenses.
