Ora Dell (Estes) Howard

Kendallville – Ora Dell Howard, 99 died Saturday May 12, 2018 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville. She was born April 2, 1919 in Summer Shade, KY to Ernest and Vadie (Bowsman) Estes. She worked as an Assembler at Creek Chub Bait Company and also worked as a Nurses Aid at the Garrett Hospital for 15 years before retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Garrett Church of the Nazarene. She loved to fish and enjoyed her time spent on vacations. Her husband Elton D Howard Jr. passed away in September 1986. Surviving is a son and daughter in law, Milen and Jean Howard of Garrett; 2 grandchildren, Shaun Howard and Shannyn (John) McDonough; a great granddaughter Nichole Brumbaugh; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM at Christian Union Cemetery, Garrett.
