HAMILTON — Patricia A. Ackerman, 79, of Hamilton died Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Parkview Hospital Randallia.

She was born June 23, 1937, in Auburn to the late Ivan LaVon and Helen Louise (Hart) Rosenberry.

She married Dale J. Ackerman on April 8, 1956, in the First United Methodist Church in Auburn, and he died March 12, 2007.

Mrs. Ackerman was a homemaker. She served as the Hamilton Town Clerk for 22 years before her retirement.

She was an active member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church. She served in the church choir, was past president of the Hamilton United Methodist Women, taught Sunday school for over 40 years, and also held office for several church committees.

Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Sheli and Greg Waltenberger of Hamilton and Tami Conley of Hamilton; a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Brenda Ackerman of Hamilton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Deanna and Ed Shull of Butler and Barb Montgomery of La Marque, Texas; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Sondra Caldwell.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton United Methodist Church, 7780 S. Wayne St., Hamilton, with calling from 10–11 a.m. prior to the service. The Rev. Larry Dimick will be officiating. Burial will take place in Hamilton Cemetery at a later date.

Calling also will be from 5–8 p.m. Monday at the church.
