Auburn – Phyllis L Reardon, 88, of Auburn died Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in an automobile accident.
She was born at home in Noble County on March 2, 1930 to Earl B. and Helen (Iddings) Householder.
Phyllis enjoyed her work at the Allen County Library and was office manager at Cameron Hospital in Angola.
She was a member at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Waterloo and volunteered at Sacred Heart Home in Avilla for many years.
She married Willis R. “Bill” Reardon on December 12, 1946 in Fort Wayne, and he died December 4, 1999.
She is survived by a daughter and son, Marti Freed and her husband, Rick of Hamilton, and Patrick Reardon and his wife, Tobi of Angola; four grandchildren, Stephanie Hine (husband Tim), Drew Freed (wife Kyra), Emilyn “Emie” Reardon and Connor Reardon; two great grandchildren, Griffin Hine and Amelia Hine; two brothers, Earl B Householder Jr. (wife Barbara) of Valparaiso, and Tom Householder (wife Lora) of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Bob Householder and Warren Householder; and two sisters, Betty Jackson and Barb Benstead.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN. Burial will follow the service in the Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
Visitation is Monday, October 8, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 2:45 p.m. Monday prior to visitation at the funeral home.
Preferred Memorials are to the Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne or Masses to the church.
