Richard E. "Butch" Hogan
December 27, 1936 ~ August 22, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years OldRichard E. “Butch” Hogan, 80, of Auburn, died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Forest Creek Village in Indianapolis.
He was born December 27, 1936, in Auburn to Lewis Franklin Benjaman and Lela (Ridenhower) Hogan.
He worked at Moon Sanitary as a garbage truck driver as well as working at the Pleasant Lake Rest Park, retiring in 2000.
Richard attended the Baptist church and was a member of the Moose in Coldwater, Michigan.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Connie) Hogan of Indianapolis; five daughters, Cheryl K. Shields of Auburn, Ginger (Christopher) Easley of Fort Wayne, Penny Davidson of Auburn, Beth (Roger) Slone of Garrett and Christy (Tim) Snook of Auburn; two sisters, Wilma Searfoss of Auburn and Virginia Hansen of Auburn; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and longtime friend, Bob (Jane) Adamczak of Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Gonzalez and Patricia Park; and four brothers, Larry Hogan, Russel Hogan, Lewis “Wink” Hogan and Darl L. Hogan.
A memorial service will take place at noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn. The Rev. Ron Stambaugh will be officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, prior to the service at the funeral home.
