Trude and I often Spoke with Bob on the hardware store sidewalk. He was a good business neighbor and I enjoyed talking to him when I needed help with a project. The Mayor of 8th street is missed, as is the hardware store.

Always great to do business with Bob. He was a great story teller. He will be missed.

I remember Bob from years ago when the License Branch was behind the Auburn City Hardware and one Christmas Bob brought each of us our own coffee cup. I also bought my very first Victorio Strainer from Bob when I used to can a lot. He was truly one of Auburn's icons and always seemed to have either a story to tell or at least a smile on his face.
May he rest in peace now with the Lord.

So sorry for your loss. We always enjoyed your parents.
I would often see your dad when he was coming home in the evening. He would wave as he turned onto Springmill Rd.
The Auburn Hardware was the place to go to find a hard to get part. If you did not have it, it was probably unobtainable.
