Butler – Robert Wolfe, 94 died Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler. He was born June 27, 1925 in Garrett to Clarence and Hazel (McClellan) Wolfe. He was a WWII US Army Veteran, he was part of the D-Day invasion at Normandy, was in the Ardennes for R and R when the Germans attacked in what is known as the Battle of The Bulge, and was on General Patton’s Funeral Detail. He was a lifetime Farmer and worked at International Harvester for 36 years retiring in 1982. He married Mary L Wood in November of 1946 and she passed away in August 2007. Surviving is a son and a daughter, Jerry Wolfe of Hamilton and Rita Suzzane (Chuck) Kristek of Florida and a grandson Joshua A Wolfe of Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son John Wolfe, 3 brothers Bill Wolfe, Max Wolfe, and Dean Wolfe and a sister in infancy, Katherine Wolfe. Services are 11 am Wednesday July 10, 2019 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN with burial to follow in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton.
