Robert “Bob” Zirkle Gann, age 85, of Auburn went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. 

Born and raised in Sevierville, Tennessee, he left home at a young age to serve his country in the United States Air Force.  He proudly served from June 7, 1948 until July 31, 1969 retiring after 21 years of service.

He met and married the love of his life, Betty (Betts), and celebrated 46 years together until the Lord called her home in 2003.  Together they came to know their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and served him whole heartedly.  They are now face to face with their Redeemer.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.  His greatest joy in life was being surrounded by his family.  He was the quiet type but loved the sounds of his family around him.  Because of who he was, loving him brought such joy and it was a privilege and an honor for each of us.  He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: 

Daughter; Mary McNish of Hampton, Virginia.

Daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Mike Michels of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Daughter and son-in-law; Bobbie and Harry Exford of Auburn.

6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Brother; W.M. Gann of Sevierville, Tennesee.

Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to any non-profit veteran organization in Bob’s honor.
