Ronnie Bolen

Ronnie Wayne Bolen was born Dec. 14, 1952, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Maggie Green and Cledus Bolen. Ronnie went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 16, 2019. He attended school at Four Mile, and Mousie grade School. He also went to Hindman High School, and later Job Corps to become a heavy equipment operator. He came to Indiana seeking work and a better life. He got a job at Bohn Aluminum in Butler, where he worked for 31 years. He was joined in Holy Matrimony on May 19, 1976, to Florence Denman Bolen, whom he loved very much. They were blessed with two children, a son David Wayne Bolen, and a daughter, Rachel Renee Bolen Cordle (Richard Cordle) of Edgerton, Ohio; five grandchildren, Cameron Cordle (Chasity Kittle Cordle), Mac Cordle (Vanessa Graber) of Hicksville, Angela Long, Brittany Long and Bryce Long, all of Edgerton, Ohio; four great-grandchildren, Rylee, Colt, Atleigh and Alexis Kay; one sister, Carol Sue Combs Dudleson (Don Dudleson) of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; one brother, Billy Gerald Wicker of Edgerton, Ohio; and three nephews, Steve Dudleson, Brent Dudleson (Alice Dudleson), and Jeff Dudleson (Melody Dudleson), all of Fountain Inn, South Carolina. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie, and his father, Cledus. Ronnie was a good provider for his family, a loving husband, Daddy, and Pappow. He was also a wonderful brother, and not only that, he was a great friend, but the best thing that he leaves behind is his testimony; he Loved the Lord! Ronnie was a born again Child of God. His passing has left a void in our heart that can never be filled, but it is not goodbye, it's I'll see you later. May God embrace the family in his loving arms, and speak comfort to their hearts. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church, 159 Greenwood Drive, Kendallville, with burial to follow in Flint Cemetery, Flint, Indiana. Calling is Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church. Preferred memorials can be given to the family in care of Florence Bolen.
