Ryan K. Greathouse, age 32, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
He was born in Altus, Oklahoma on August 18, 1985 to Mark and Connie (Mock) Greathouse. Ryan was a 2004 graduate of Fairview High School in Sherwood, Ohio. He then went on to graduate Northwest State Community College in Archbold, Ohio.
Ryan married Christen M. Myers on August 1, 2009 in Auburn. She resides in Auburn.
He worked at Hendrickson in Kendallville for 5 years. Ryan then turned his love of guns and helping people into a career by working at Auburn Arms for the last 2 years. He enjoyed helping people find the right firearm to keep themselves and their families safe.
Ryan attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Auburn. In addition to being a gun enthusiast, Ryan was a musician playing in a few bands over the years and he enjoyed hunting. Most of all he enjoyed being a husband and a father and spending time with his family.

Sister and brother-in-law; Lyndsi and James Deemer of Auburn.
Sister and brother-in-law; Chelsea and Logan Engelberth of Spencerville.
Grandmother; Irma Mock of Montpelier, Ohio.
Grandmother; Ewina Hitt of Montpelier, Ohio.
Mother-in-law and father-in-law; Don and Connie Myers of Auburn.
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Derrick and Katie Myers of Franklin, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers; Gerald Mock and Jennison Greathouse.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 211 West Ninth Street in Auburn.
Officiating the funeral service will be The Rev. Dr. Marcus J. Carlson with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Memorial donations may be directed to Ryan’s children, Claire and Sawyer, to help with their future expenses. Memorials may be given to the Greathouse children in care of Ryan’s wife, Christen.
