S. Eugene "Gene" Gross, age 80, of Auburn passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his summer residence on Pretty Lake in LaGrange County.

Gene was born on September 8, 1938 in Middletown, Ohio to Ernest and Maude (Hargis) Gross.

He married his wife Beth on May 12, 1979 in Annapolis, Maryland and she resides in Auburn.

Gene retired as the Director of Marketing for C&P Telephone in Bethesda, Maryland.

Survivors Include:

His wife; Beth Ann Gross of Auburn.

Son; Kyle Gross of Annapolis, Maryland.

Step daughter; Trina Oshman of Dallas, Texas.

Step daughter and son-in-law; Erin and Charlie Casavant of Fort Wayne.

Step daughter and son-in-law; Vanessa and Cory Eash of Shipshewana, Indiana.

Four grandchildren; Emma Gross, Zoe Gross, Carson Eash and Lillian Eash.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter; Darcy Gross.

A private family committal service will be held at a later date.
