Born Shirley Ann Dalton on Aug. 23, 1942, in Clay City, Indiana, the daughter of the Lucille (Lash) and John Jennings Dalton. They are now deceased.
Shirley had 10 siblings, Helen, Samuel, Dorothy, Lloyd, Rosie, Mary, Julia, Alice, and Johnny that preceded her in death. Lester, the youngest sibling is still living.
Shirley graduated from Clay City High School in 1960. She then married L. Douglas Crody in December 1961, until his death in 1995.

Shirley worked for more than 20 years for Harger’s Meats. She first started at the IGA store in Hamilton and then at several of the specialty meat locations in Bryan, Ohio, Angola and Auburn. She later worked at Kaiser’s Supermarket in Butler where she met Jack Klebe and the two married in November 1998.
Shirley retired soon after her marriage to Jack, and the two enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spent their winters in Florida, for 18 years where they loved to play cards, visit and host a ham and bean supper for the retirement park.
Shirley loved to sew and quilt. She also gardened and canned. She was a loving wife, supportive mother, and a hard worker. She will be missed at the scrabble games and the kitchen table visits. Love and praise you always, our mother, wife and grandmother.
