Steven A. Davis, age 64, of Ashley and formerly of Angola passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his Ashley home. 

Mr. Davis was born on November 5, 1952 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Dr. Claude and Yvonne (Crawford) Davis.  He graduated from Angola High School in 1971. 

He worked for LaGrange Products of Fremont retiring in 2014.  Prior to that Steve worked for Indiana Marine Products in Angola for 16 years. 

Steve loved to go camping and being outside.  He was also a NASCAR fan.  Steve was a big Jeep Wrangler guy and he always had a Jeep to drive.

Survivors include: 

His life partner of 15 years; Brenda McKean of Ashley.

Father and step-mother; Dr. Claude and Jeanie Davis of Angola.

Son; Steven E. Davis of Elkhart.

Three grandchildren; Zakk, Keirra and Arius.

He was also a father to Brenda’s three daughters; Cheryl and Lester Tatro of Wolcottville, Andrea and Jeff Sharp of Kokomo and Emily Lepley of Polo, Illinois and a grandfather to Brenda’s 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Sister; Claudia Howard of Clarksville, Indiana.

Sister and brother-in-law; Sandi and Al Cather of Fremont.

Sister and brother-in-law; Patty and Brian Glick of Angola.

Step brother and sister-in-law; Mitch and Maria Davis of Angola.

Step sister and brother-in-law; Kim and Paul Wright of Arizona.

Step sister and brother-in-law; Lisa and Jeff Burlingame of Angola.

Step sister; Jackie Van Rooyen of Fremont.

Preceded in death by his mother; Yvonne Davis.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Independent Full Gospel Church, 1000 S. Gonser Ave., Ashley, with the Rev. Sam Weimer officiating.

Calling will be from 1–3 p.m. Friday prior to the services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Parkview Noble Home Health and Hospice, 1836 Ida Red Road, Kendallville, Indiana 46755 and the Independent Full Gospel Church, 1000 South Gonser Avenue, Ashley, Indiana 46705.
