HAMILTON — Theron L. Snyder, 79, of Hamilton and formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at his home on Hamilton Lake.

He was born May 17, 1938, in Butler, the son of the late Ralph and Muriel (Linn) Snyder.

Theron married Shirley A. Nye on March 15, 1958, in Edgerton, Ohio, and she passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2017.

Theron retired from Zumbrun Construction in Fort Wayne.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Ellen Snyder of Auburn, Joe and Michelle Snyder of Fort Wayne and Steven and Sherry Snyder of Cape Coral, Florida; eight grandchildren, Shawn Payton, Addison Snyder, Chase Snyder, Ian Snyder, Chelsea Snyder, Nicklaus Snyder, Joseph Snyder and Christopher Snyder; four great-grandchildren; honorary grandchild, Alfred Lingo; and their beloved cat, Abby.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a brother, Marvin Snyder.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to services. Pastor Grant Merrell of the First United Methodist Church in Auburn will be officiating. Burial will take place in Hamilton Cemetery, Hamilton.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
