Waterloo – Venita “Susie” Miller, 93 of Waterloo died Wednesday October 24, 2018 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. She was born December 5, 1924 in Allen County to John “George” and Loretta C. (Sorg) Herber. She worked at DeKalb Molded Plastic for 9 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Waterloo. She was a member of the Rosary Society of the Church. She belonged to St. Rose of Lima Study Club, a charter member of the Never Idle Homemakers Club and was active with Harvest House. Venita married Lawrence J Miller on October 26, 1946 in the Hessen Castle Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and he died May 9, 1976. Surviving are 3 sons and daughter in laws, Robert L and Judith Miller of Waterloo, Thomas G and Mary Miller of Newnan, GA and Mark J and Amy Miller of Waterloo; 7 grandchildren, Rachel Miller, Ryan (fiancé Courtney Baker) Miller, Emily Miller, Melissa Miller, Thomas “Matt” (Tia) Miller, Laura Ellsworth, Jeanette (Kevin) Dickinson and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 children in infancy, 3 sisters, Marceline Miller, Catherine Lothamer and Bernadine Miller; 3 brothers, Aloysius Herber, Emil Herber and Norbert Herber. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Monday October 29, 2018 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1098 CR 39, Waterloo, IN with Father Vincent Joseph VC officiating. Burial will follow the mass in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo. Calling is 2 to 6 PM Sunday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN 46793. A DeKalb County Horseman’s Association gathering will be held at 1:45 PM prior to the calling and a Rosary will be recited at 6 PM at the end of calling Sunday at the funeral home.
