Adrian Edward Pratt

Adrian Edward Pratt, 81, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on July 4, 2026, on the 250th anniversary of the United States of America—a date deeply fitting for a man who so proudly served his country. He was born on June 11, 1945, in Indiana.

Adrian proudly served his country in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected his honor, discipline, and unwavering love for his nation. His military service remained a defining part of his life and a source of great pride to his family.

He was a faithful member of Fire Life Church of Waterloo, where his faith in Jesus Christ guided his life, strengthened his spirit, and shaped the way he cared for others. His church family was an important part of his journey, and he found comfort, fellowship, and purpose within his church community.

Beyond his love of God and his love of country, Adrian’s greatest earthly calling was being a father. He was his daughters’ rock—steady, dependable, and always present when they needed him most. He worked tirelessly and willingly made countless sacrifices to provide for his family, never hesitating to place their needs above his own. Through his example, he instilled enduring Christian values of faith, family, and love for others, creating a lasting legacy that will continue through generations.

He will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, noble and honorable spirit, and his ability to always find humor and share a laugh. His quiet strength, steadfast faith, servant’s heart, and unconditional love touched all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Helen Pratt (Justin Schick); and her children, Kassandra Schambers (Doug), Faith Schambers (Jeremiah), Brandon Cearbaugh, and Maddison Cearbaugh (Clayton). He is also survived by his daughter, Jennie Reust (Keith), and their children, Brittany (Stevie) and Isabella; and his daughter, Maggie Pratt-Walda (Dave), and their children, Dakota, Tristan, and Ashton. He is further survived by his bonus daughter, Kelley Payton (Dan), and their daughter, Navaira; along with many cherished great-grandchildren and extended stepfamily members. He is also survived by his former son-in-law, Chad Cearbaugh. who will forever cherish his memory and carry forward the values he lived by.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Pratt; mother, Isabel LeCount (Ray); brother, Sam Pratt (Leone); and sister, Elizabeth Jones (Richard).

While his family grieves his absence, they rejoice in the blessed assurance that he has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His life was a testimony of faith, service, sacrifice, and love, and his legacy will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know him.

A private family graveside service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn with military honors being conducted by the United States Army along with the American Legion Post 97 of Auburn and American Legion Post 178 of Garrett.

A celebration of Adrian's life will take place from 3 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Fire Life Church, 960 W. Lincoln St., Waterloo, with a service taking place at 3:45 p.m. during the celebration of life.
