Albert G. "Gene" Rowe

Albert G. “Gene” Rowe, age 77 of Pleasant Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 3, 2025 nine months after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.   

He was born on June 29, 1947 in Auburn to Albert E. and Mossie E. (Mason) Rowe. 

Gene married Gloria Shatto on May 24, 1980 in Hudson and she resides at Pleasant Lake.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, going to garage sales, basketball, fishing, birdwatching, jigsaw puzzles, reading, painting, writing and playing songs on the guitar with his best friend, Larry Rogers.  He especially enjoyed going to breakfast on Friday mornings with his cousins. 

Survivors include:

His wife of almost 45 years, Gloria Rowe of Pleasant Lake.

Three sons and their spouses, Larry and Deb Rowe, Will and Ashley Rowe and Thomas and Desiree Rowe.

Ten grandchildren, Faith, Josh, Grace, Ellana, Ethan, Emily, Morgan, Gunner, Tensley and Andrew.

Two great granddaughters, Khloe and Lilly.

Brother and sister-in-law, John and Shalmar Rowe.

Two sisters, Ethel Jennings and Mary Ann Warner.

Two sisters-in-law, Kim Shatto and Rosalynda Hash.

Brother-in-law, DeWayne Shatto.

Many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law; five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.

Per Gene’s request there will be no services.
