Alex was born May 18, 2004 in LaGrange to Scott and Amy (Fennell) Barnhart.
From the early age of 5 years old, Alex had a plan. He knew that he wanted to graduate from high school as soon as he could, go into the military and then come back and follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a police officer serving the community. He worked hard and recently graduated from DeKalb High School a year early at the age of 17. On Monday he was set to leave for Fort Benning on the Alabama – Georgia line to start basic training.
Alex was a very hard worker and over the last year he enjoyed working at Brand’s Dairy Farm in Waterloo. He liked working hard and saving the money that he made.
