Amee Diane (Schmidt) Gullett

Amee Diane Gullett, 42, of Garrett, passed away, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born April 15, 1984, in Auburn, Indiana to Gerald Alan and Pamela Sue (Hadley) Schmidt.

Amee was a 2002 graduate of East Noble High School in Kendallville. She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 2016 from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Amee dedicated 15 years to being a stay-at-home mother. She then went to work in the accounting department at Paragon Steel in Butler for three years and, for the past four years, was employed in the accounting department at New Millennium in Butler.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett.

Amee loved the beach and any opportunity to be near the water. She enjoyed swimming, spending time at the lake, and making memories with family and friends. Amee also loved cooking and took great pride in her home, where she enjoyed yard work, landscaping, and gardening. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her four daughters, who meant the world to her.

Surviving are her father, Gerald Alan Schmidt of Howe; four daughters, Mia Marie Gullett, Atalie Grace Gullett, Avarie Mae Gullett, and Lyla Sue Gullett, all of Corunna; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Eric Rupley of Garrett; and her fiancé, Tony Fenner of Edgerton, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her mother; paternal grandparents, Howie and Dolly Schmidt; and maternal grandparents, Gene and Jerry Hadley.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

A celebration of Amee’s life will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, following the gathering at the funeral home. Pastor Shawn Shepherd will be officiating.
