Amy Egly Obituary

Amy Helwig Egly, age 46 of Waterloo passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at Dekalb Health in Auburn.

She was born on September 14, 1975 in Marietta, Ohio to John and Rebecca Helwig.  They survive in Hobart, Indiana.

Amy married Chad Egly on May 12, 2006.  He preceded her in death on January 15, 2015. Amy is survived by her sister; Jennifer Kessler, brother and sister-in-law; Joe and Amanda Helwig, her two children; a son Jarrett Egly and a daughter with her significant other Mollie Egly and Allen Darby, along with nieces and nephews; Lukas, Meghan and Sarah Kessler, Illyana, Shaylee and Dane Jacko, Jordan Post, Scott and Nicole Egly. Brothers-In-law and sister-in-law; Brian Egly, Chris and Paula Egly, Father and Mother-in-law; Phil and Cathy Egly, Her grandmother; Eileen Maxfield along with many surviving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Amy is preceded in death by her grandmother; Ethel Bell and two grandfathers; Joe Bell and Hayden Maxfield, her uncle; Chuck Maxfield and aunt; Vicki Forfa.

Amy was a 1994 Dekalb High School graduate. Amy loved many things but most of all her family. She was a good singer, enjoyed watching movies and loved spending time with her kids. After the passing of her husband Amy found love again with John Jeffers who also survives.

At this time there will be no visitation or services.
