Auburn – Anna Delice Gordon, 85, passed away Wednesday January 14, 2026
She was born August 5, 1940 in Washington DC to John and Mildred (Nolan) Volentine.
Delice began her working career as a registered nurse. She and her husband then became the owners of the Sears Catalogue Store in Auburn for 11 years from 1982 to 1993. She then recertified as a nurse and worked for 15 years as a nurse at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett before retiring in 2008.
She was a member of the Dayspring Community Church in Auburn for 44 years. She served her church as a Sunday School Teacher for a number of years.
Delice married Stewart Gordon on February 15, 1964 in San Diego, California and he passed away December 14, 2018.
She’s survived by 3 children, Becky Gordon of Garrett, Cris (Liz) Gordon of Lewis Center, Ohio and Kevin (Heather) Gordon of Wheaton, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Nathan (Kearsten) Gordon, Rebekah (Caleb) Montgomery, Caleb Gordon, Lily Gordon, Megan Gordon and Matthew Gordon; 4 great grandchildren, Samuel Gordon, Joseph Gordon, Levi Montgomery and Haven Montgomery; 5 siblings, J.C. (Paula) Volentine, Jean (John) Norman, Kenny (Diane) Volentine, Dottie Doehrer and Wayne Volentine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister, Sandy Volentine.
Services are at 3 PM Friday at the Dayspring Community Church, 2305 North Indiana Avenue, Auburn, IN 46706. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM Friday, at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Freed and Pastor Nathan Gordon.
