Arlene M. Kieffer, 78, of Warsaw, formerly of Kendallville, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center in Warsaw.
She was born on February 14, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Arland and Julia (Wiederholt) Stine.
Arlene was a homemaker who enjoyed cleaning. She loved life and had a goofy sense of humor that brought laughter to those around her. She loved being the center of attention, but she would also give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Arlene enjoyed dogs, eating ice cream, drinking soda, collecting stuffed animals, receiving flowers, and watching television, especially The Golden Girls. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren very much.
She is survived by her three children, Gregory and Emma Kieffer of Homosassa, Florida, Tammy Pearson of Goshen, Indiana, and Wanita and Tracey Woodard of Auburn; 11 grandchildren, Matthew and Keefer Kieffer, Brian Kieffer, Kalina Kieffer, Jacob and Taylor Pearson, Alexandria Pearson, Crew Pearson-Spencer, Nikki and Mike Hile, Natasha and Mark Shaffer, Tia and Brandon Kirkman, Brandon Woodard, and Brandy Woodard; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Don Stine, Bob Stine, Cliff Stine, Louie Stine, and Earl Stine; and two sisters, Lorrelle Smith and Pearl Kacprowicz.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street, Auburn.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Arlene to the DeKalb Humane Society, P.O. Box 806, Auburn, IN 46706.
