Balinda Sue (Boyd) Brown

Balinda Sue Brown, age 68 of Butler, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  Balinda was an organ donor, so even in death, she continues to help others. 

She was born on October 22, 1954 in Auburn to Richard Q. and Rosalie M. (Niles) Boyd.  She was a 1972 graduate of DeKalb High School. 

Balinda married Daniel D. Brown on July 24, 1976 in Auburn.  He preceded her in death on October 22, 2021.

Many people will remember Balinda from her time working at the Shell Station in Waterloo for almost 30 years.  Most important to her was being with her family, whether it was spending time with her siblings or following the grandkids around to their sporting events and activities, family was first and foremost to Balinda.

Son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Nancy Brown of Fort Wayne.

Son and daughter-in-law; Dana and Aimee Brown of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Son; Brent Brown of Hudson.

Son and daughter-in-law; Jason and Dawn Shull of Garrett.

Son; Daniel Brown of Butler.

Daughter; Jamie Brown of Butler.

14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law; Richard and Diana Boyd of Auburn.

Sister and brother-in-law; Cathy and Joel Kloepper of Pleasant Lake.

Sister and brother-in-law; Jackie and Jim Pfefferkorn of Auburn.

Brother and sister-in-law; Casey and Kim Boyd of Waterloo.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, two grandchildren; Zachery Brown and Lucas Brown and three sisters; Lily Boyd, Barbara Boyd and Brenda Rigby.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the Waterloo Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
