Banner Floyd Kidd, Jr., age 70 of Auburn, went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn, Indiana.
He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky on May 23, 1955 to the late Banner Sr. and Verleen Kidd.
Banner’s life was focused on three things: family, faith, and music. He spent years playing with his band, Stone County Band, and was involved with various worship groups throughout his walk of faith. In more recent years, Banner was devoted to his own fellowship, First Love Outreach.
He always loved being surrounded by family, eating good food, and sharing laughs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Banner Floyd Kidd, Sr., and Verleen Rae Kidd; his sister, Brenda Kidd and his daughter, Laura Renee (Kidd) Payne.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Jetmore) Kidd; siblings, Linda (Darren) Burkett, Karen Brown, Jane Kidd, Rocky Kidd, and Joseph Kidd; children, Christy Kidd (Jason Wilson), Brook (Ryan) McNabb, and Luke (Sidney) Kidd and grandchildren, Rieken, T’eo, and Arlo.
A Celebration of Life, officiated by Pastor Paul Mowery, is to be held at Harvest Fellowship in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at a later announced date.
The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Banner be made to the Kidd family via Harvest Fellowship, 1001 W. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
