Betty L. (Warrix) Ousley

Betty L. Ousley, age 84 of Yorktown, Indiana and formerly of Waterloo, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Indiana Univeristy Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.

She was born on January 10, 1941 in Hueysville, Kentucky to Clyde and Sylvia (Crager) Warrix.

Betty married Richard “Dick” E. Ousley on September 2, 1960 in Martin, Kentucky.  He preceded her in death on August 18, 2017. 

Betty was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her family.  She was passionate about her garden each and every year and that helped feed her family.  Betty was also an avid quilter.  Although she hasn’t lived in Waterloo for some time, Betty always considered the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church her home church.

Son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kathi Ousley of Muncie.

Son, Rick Ousley of College Station, Texas.

Son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Beth Ann Ousley of Syracuse, Indiana.

Son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Denise Ousley of Leo, Indiana.

Ten grandchildren, Ryan Farrell, Justin Ousley, Kristin Ousley, Tyler Ousley, Annalise Ousley, Ian Ousley, Charley Ousley, Ethan Ousley, Devin Ousley and Dane Ousley.

Nine great grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Valerie Warrix of Hueysville.

Brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Teresa Warrix of Hueysville.

Sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Mike Schmidt of West Milton, Ohio.

Sister, Bonnie Warrix of Hueysville.

Sister, Margie Reed of Hippo, Kentucky.

Sister and brother-in-law, Velma and James Shepherd of Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

Sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Carlos Whitaker of Waterloo.

Sister, Kathy Neeley of Waterloo.

Sister and brother-in-law, Clydia and David Heitzelmann of Martin, Kentucky.

Sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Boyd of Hueysville.

Sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly and James Sloan of Hueysville.

Many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick Ousley and two brothers, William Warrix and Dayton Warrix.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo. 

Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ron Stambaugh officiating.

Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett.
