Beverly “June” Knop, 90, passed away on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at her home in Auburn, Indiana.
She was born on July 6, 1934, in Angola, Indiana, to Clarence E. and Wavel J. (Tingler) Winters.
June married Donald G. Knop on June 26, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, and he passed away on Sept. 24, 2005.
She worked in the cafeteria for DeKalb Central School District for 38 years, retiring in 2006.
June was a member of Cedar Creek Church of Christ in rural Fort Wayne.
Surviving are three children and a spouse, Michael L. Knop, of Fort Wayne, Brian A. and Martha Knop, of Kent, Washington, and Julie A. Knop; three grandchildren, Jeremy Knop, Mary Knop and Linda (Braden) King; great-granddaughter, Penny King; and a sister, Betty V. Warner, of Hillsdale, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Leslie Winters; sister, Ruby “Ann” Penrod; and two granddaughters, Candy Knop and Amanda Knop.
A graveside service will take place at 2:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1605 Center St., with Greg Krafft officiating.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
