Billy (Bill) Leroy Troop, age 78 of Buckeye, Arizona and formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Ridgecrest Post Acute in Phoenix, Arizona.
Bill was born on February 10, 1946 in Fort Wayne to Louis and Betty Troop. Bill was a graduate of Northside High School in Fort Wayne. After graduation, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Management from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne.
Bill was married to Cynthia S. Friend in Fort Wayne on August 16, 1969.
Bill started B.T. & Son Reconstruction and ran a successful company focusing on installation of lockers, event center folding doors, and garage doors / openers and general home carpentry repair work in the Fort Wayne area.
After retirement, and becoming a widower, Bill met Carol Goddard of Denver, Colorado. After spending some time together, they decided to move to Buckeye where they were married on October 20, 2018.
Bill spent his life enjoying time spent at the lake, following the Denver Broncos, Indiana Hoosiers and Chicago Cubs, and attending his children’s sporting events. Bill also enjoyed a good game of cards and traveling.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Laura Troop and spouse Tammy Harman of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, Eric Troop of Brownsburg, Indiana; and sisters, Janet Horn and Beverly Garcia.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Betty Troop, wives, Cynthia Troop and Carol Troop and sister, Sandra Macht.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the funeral service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
