Bobby Dean Sr. Obituary

Bobby Lee Dean Sr., 72, passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at his home in Angola.

He was born June 30, 1953, in Florence, Alabama, to Franklin Delton and Loyce Marie (Stutts) Dean.

Bob was a 1971 graduate of Edon High School in Edon, Ohio. He then went on to receive an associate degree in business science in 1984 from Hesser College in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1971 to 1974.

He worked as a quality inspector for Carlisle in Angola for 28 years. Bob retired from Carver Non-Woven Technologies in Fremont in 2023.

Bob was a former member of American Legion Post 257 in Fremont.

Bob enjoyed an active and fulfilling life. He loved golfing, woodworking, and staying busy, often working with his hands around the house. He had a passion for antiquing and was an avid football and baseball fan. Most of all, Bob cherished time with his family, especially watching his children and grandchildren in their various activities and spending quality time with them.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Nancy L. (Eberly) Dean of Angola; six children, Tricia (Jeff) Noel of Lowell, Massachusetts, Stephanie (Shane) Hutchins of Angola, Stacy (Adam) Fugate of Goshen, Nicole (Dan) Yeomans of Dracut, Massachusetts, Tanya Loeschke of Tolleson, Arizona, and Bobby (Sheena) Dean Jr. of Pike Road, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, Jacob Noel, Chloe Hutchins, Chaelinn Hutchins, Erik Dean, Jace Perry, Andrew Fugate, Brady Dean, Liam Loeschke, Paxton MacKinnon and Olivia Loeschke; two siblings, Sheila Garber of Montpelier, Ohio, and Ron (Angel) Dean of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Loyce Dean; grandson, Matthew Robert Fugate; and a brother-in-law, Paul Garber.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Ralph Diehl officiating.

Burial will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery in Angola with military honors conducted by the United States Army and American Legion Post 31 of Angola.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
