Brenda Ruth (Faulkner) McLain

Brenda Ruth (Faulkner) McLain, 77 of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. 

She was born on August 21, 1947 at the McCray Memorial Hospital in Kendallville to Donald and Marie (Krotzer) Fulkner.  She was a 1965 graduate of Kendallville High School.

Brenda married Lesley McLain on December 21, 1966 at the Salem Center Presbyterian Church.  He resides in Auburn. 

She worked for Cooper Standard Automotive in Auburn for many years, retiring in 2003.  Brenda enjoyed woodworking, leather working, crocheting and she was an avid card player and reader.  She loved camping, fishing and she was an excellent marksman.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include:

Her husband of 58 years, Lesley McLain of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Jon Damewood of North Lewisburg Ohio.

Daughter, April Daily of Hudson, Indiana.

Daughter, Audrey McLain and Gene Smith of Auburn.

Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Abbie Damewood, Alicia and Ryan Kemph, Brittany and Rob Preston, Kyle and Kara Fisher, Brianna and Seth Lubbehusen, Drake Beber and  Ray Chalfin.

11 Great Grandchildren.

Brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Marilyn Faulkner of Wolcottville.

Sister, Sandy Quinn of Wolcottville.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marie Faulkner; sister, Sue Faulkner and son-in-law, Michael Daily.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. 

Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation on Friday at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Mike Hamm officiating.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Brenda to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, Virginia 22116-7023.
