Caroline Joan (Husky) Bartlett, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away peacefully at the age of 93.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan.
She married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Bartlett Jr., on Dec. 19, 1950. They were happily married for 59 years, until Lloyd passed in 2009.
They moved several times in those years, going from Detroit to Thompsonville, Michigan, then to Moran in the Upper Peninsula. After Lloyd’s death, she moved to Auburn, Indiana.
She was a talented artist and seamstress. She was a great homemaker and all her homes were cozy and inviting.
She also worked with Meals on Wheels for 2 1/2 years through the Heimach Center in Auburn.
She is survived by six children, Sue and Bill Lyne, of Auburn, Carol and Rick Lendrum, of Clinton Township, Michigan, Jim and Darlene Bartlett, of Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Joe and Linda Bartlett, of Mesick, Michigan, and Kathy and Doug Maginity, of Thompsonville, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She also leaves behind her best friend, Gene Striggle.
