Clayton Hursh Obituary

Auburn – Clayton L Hursh Sr., 69 of Auburn died Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born April 6, 1949 in Auburn. His mother and step father were John C and Iris (Rennecker) Ramer and they have both passed away. Clayton served his country during Vietnam in the US Army. He worked at Bohn Aluminum in Butler, The Andersons in Waterloo and was a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn, Knights of Columbus and the DeKalb County Horseman’s Association. He was a volunteer for 4 H Double Trees and former instructor of 4 H Shooting Sports. Clayton married Joan Deininger on May 6, 1972 in St. Charles Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and she survives in Auburn. He is also survived by 2 daughters and a son, Tammy K (Michael) Bennett of Auburn, Carrie A (Keith) Gillenwater of Wabash and Clayton L Hursh Jr of Auburn; 3 grandchildren, Lydia Bennett, Daniel Bennett and Maximus Gillenwater and a sister Mary Kay Hursh of Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Monday June 25, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 East 7th Street, Auburn, IN with Father Timothy Wrozek officiating. Burial will follow in the Auburn Catholic Cemetery. Calling is Sunday from 2 to 6 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn and also 1 hour prior to the mass Monday at the church.
