Cynthia Mae (McGinnis) Snyder

Ashley – Cynthia Mae (McGinnis) Snyder of Ashley, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 13, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Cindy was born July 20, 1962 in Elwood, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late, James and Eleanor (Burcher) McGinnis.

She was a graduate of DeKalb High School and Ravenscroft Beauty College in Fort Wayne.

Cindy worked at Tower Automotive in Kendallville for many years.

She married Michael Allen Snyder on November 17, 1984 and together they had six children who were the center of her world. She enjoyed farming with Mike and spending time with her 11 grandchildren and was looking forward to holding and loving one that is on the way. Cindy took in many children along the way. She was caring and compassionate in helping to grow each and every soul she touched. She loved to serenade her friends and family with Karaoke concerts and special phone calls. She is already so dearly missed. Her sudden loss has been an unimaginable shock for her family.

Surviving is her husband, Mike Snyder; 6 children, Jennifer Payne (Brenda) of Butler, Melissa Karnes (Michael) of Kennard, Christina Omspacher (Zeb) of Butler, Michael Snyder Jr. of Ashley, Gary Snyder of Ashley and Autumn Worman (Devon) of Ashley; 11 grandchildren, Gavin and Della Payne, Alyssa and Michael Karnes, Cole, Larkin and Waylynn Omspacher, Michael and Skylar Snyder, Ryleigh and Blake Barnhart; Sisters and Brothers, Linda Essig, Gary McGinnis, Jackie Artis and Calvin McGinnis and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones that she has touched along the way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Donald James “DJ” Snyder, parents, siblings, Genny Hunsberger, James M McGinnis, Sharon Boese and several Nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 11 AM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow the service in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna. Calling is Friday from 2 to 7 PM and also 1 hour prior to the service Saturday from 10 to 11 all at the funeral home.
