Dan Scranage, age 85, passed away on August 12, 2021 surrounded by his family at his Auburndale, Florida home.
A resident of Florida for 30 years, he was born in Goshen, Indiana to John and Agnes (Smoker) Scranage. His formative years were spent on the family farm near Ashley.
He graduated from Ashley High School in 1955. In 1956 he joined the United States Marine Corps and completed his tour of duty in 1958. While living in Florida he owned and operated Roof Vac, a commercial roofing business in the South Florida area.
Survivors include:
Son; Mark Scranage of Auburn.
Daughter and son-in-law; Joan and Patrick Donegan of Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Daughter and son-in-law; Anne and Allen Burrage of Lake Alfred, Florida.
Daughter and son-in-law; Beth and Patrick Douglas of Auburn.
Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Brother; Bruce Scranage of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons; John Scranage and Steve Scranage and two brothers; Al Scranage and Mike Scranage.
A celebration of life was held in Florida and a private family graveside service will be held at Fairfield Cemetery at a later date.
