Darlene Crager Pankop Peters, 62, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and formerly from Waterloo, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 26, 2024.
Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved her church family and making new friends wherever she went. She was a regular attender of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Darlene worked at Magnavox in Auburn for 16 years, Innotek Pet Products for 5 years, and at ITT Aerospace, Fort Wayne for 4 years. She also worked at the Karm Store in Oak Ridge, TN and the Bible Book Store in Cedar Bluff, TN.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Vessie (Hicks) Crager; husband, Danny Pankop; and a son, Jeremy Pankop.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Peters; sons, Scotty Pankop, Zachary Pankop, Jonathan Peters, Nathanael Peters and Zachary Peters; daughters, Julia Peters, Emily Peters and Bethany Peters; grandson, Jeremy Pankop (JJ); granddaughters, Ashlen and Aerylin Buker, and Freya Bonett; sisters, Lisa (Glen) McHenry, and Brenda (Raymond) Hamilton; brothers, Willie (Sandi) Crager and Josh Crager.
Pallbearers are: Willie Crager, Nick Crager, Greg Crager, Josh Crager, Dennis Carroll and Amy Carroll
Special thanks to Oak Ridge Baptist Church for all the love, kindness, support, and care for Darlene and the family during her year long struggle with cancer.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2024, at Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church, 2833 C.R. 27, Waterloo, with visitation from 9 - 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
The Rev. Ron Stambaugh will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery in rural Corunna.
Visitation also will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo.
