Kendallville – David Charles Scott, 77, of Kendallville passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn.
He was born October 16, 1947 in Hicksville, Ohio. His parents were DeLoss Walter Scott and Joan Alberta (Horn) Sheldon and they have both passed away as has his wife, Margaret (McKay) Scott.
Dave and Margaret loved Florida and Indiana. They spent many years traveling between the two, wintering in Florida and summering in Indiana. They loved to fish and make and sell arts and crafts.
Dave was very proud of being a veteran. He served in the U.S. Army with both the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by 3 children, Shelly Scott, Gregory Scott and Merrilee; granddaughter Chrystle Porter; brother Neil A (Lynda) Scott of Decatur, three sisters, Debra Beeks of Kendallville, Julie Peters of Fort Wayne and Connie (Richard) Gutierrez of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
No services are planned at this time. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements.
