David W. Williams

Garrett – David W. Williams, 79, of Garrett died Saturday September 16, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born February 29, 1944 in Marion, Ohio to Donald and Margarete Jean (Burns) Williams.

In retirement David volunteered at Sunshine Ministries and Eckhart Public Library. He also did some substitute teaching for area high schools. He was a member of Pine Hills Church in Fort Wayne and served as safety director for GWRRA (Gold Wing Road Riders Association).

David had a passion for helping people. He loved the Lord and he shared the Gospel wherever and whenever he could.

David married Charlotte Flemming on August 28, 1965 in Elkhart and she survives in Garrett.

He is also survived by 2 daughters and son in laws, Lori A. and Harold Traxler of Huntertown and Carrie L. and Aaron Gutwein of Fishers. There are 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother and sister in law, Paul and Millie Williams of Morral, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joan Fleming.

Services will be 1 PM Friday September 22, 2023 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706 with Pastor Michael Drury and Pastor Ryan Flemming officiating. Burial will follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn. Calling is 1 hour prior to the service from 12 to 1 at the funeral home.
