Garrett – Deborah Ann Barth Steury, 70, passed away peacefully Tuesday July 15, 2025 at her home in Garrett surrounded by loved ones.
She was born August 19, 1954 in Fort Wayne to Rodney and Elizabeth (Ewen) Barth.
Deborah was a DeKalb High School graduate. She worked at Ashley Products for ten years and Cooper Standard in Auburn for ten years before retiring in 2014.
She was a member of United Steelworkers Local 634L. She participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She enjoyed crafting, ceramics, baking cakes, Karaoke, and watching the Walking Dead & Deryl Dixon. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren and camping and campfires with her cousins.
Surviving are 4 children, Jeremy (Tracy) Steury of Hamilton, Mathew (Rachel) Steury of Kihei, Hawaii, Sarah Steury of Waterloo and Mollie (Corey) Kline of Garrett; grandchildren, Bayleigh (Colton) Miller, Brayden Steury, Breanika (Dustin) Keeran, Brycen Steury, Ethan (Ashley Barnet) Ross, Jay (Megan) White, Evangelah White, Annessa Burns, Karson Burns, Malina Spitler, Lilyia Spitler and MaKayla Kline; great grandchildren, Crue Miller, Brielle Miller, Cade Miller, Cash Miller, Chandler Keeran, Brewer Keeran, Shawn Steury, Leon Barnett, Dante Barnett, Eann Steury, Jerrdan Steury, and Grayden Steury; brother Robert Barth of Florida and 3 sisters-in-law, Sue Barth, Mary Ann Barth and Chanda Barth; nieces and nephews, Shane Barth, Shanda Barth, Michael (Gregory) Barth, Jon Barth and Tammy LaRowe.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, great grandson, Isaac Barnett, 3 brothers, Michael Barth, Steven Barth, Rodney Barth and a niece, Dawn Barth.
A Memorial service will be at 2 PM, Friday July 25, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow the service in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Avilla. The family will receive friends 3 hours prior to the service Friday from 11 to 2 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with expenses.
