Denny Day

Denny Day, 77, of Garrett, passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at home with his family. Denny was born in Hazard, Kentucky to Willie and Sally (Eversole) Day. Denny married Sandra Krout in 1978 and she resides in Garrett. Denny enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball and Chicago Cubs baseball. He loved being outside, playing poker, and enjoying time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Day; son Danny Roberts; step-daughter Susan Laws; two grandchildren, Sandra Laws (Jesse Reynolds) and Linda Laws; and one great grandchild, Liam Reynolds. His sisters, Linda (Jack) Barnett, Kathleen (Otis) Hunter, and Bernice McCosh. His brothers, Charles (Sara) Day and Timothy (Vickie) Day. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was peceded in death by his parents, Willie and Sally Day; brothers, Kelly Day and Elmer Day; and sisters, Rebecca Day, Viola Day, and Treba Day.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

A memorial service will be held after the visitation on Friday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home in Auburn.

Burial will take place at the Corunna Cemetery.
