Dixie L. Goble, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Evergreen Village Assisted Living in Fort Wayne.
She was born April 7, 1941, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to James and Olive E. (Whitaker) Lowden.
Dixie was a secretary for Stanadyne Inc., later Moen Faucets in Garrett for 25 years, retiring in 2003.
She attended the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church in rural Waterloo.
Dixie enjoyed doing puzzles and was a dedicated Pittsburg Steelers and Indiana Hoosier fan, but her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She married Doyle Goble on June 10, 1978, in Garrett, Indiana, and he passed away July 21, 2013.
Surviving are four children and their spouses, Joseph Gossett of Garrett, Pamela Flores of Auburn, Sherri and Doug Kee of Garrett, and Dixie and Casey Stafford of Waterloo; step daughter, Debbie and Dave Muzzillo of LaOtto; six grandchildren, Katie Thrush, Nicole Rinehold, Spencer Stafford, Carter Stafford, Haley Moore and Chad Muzzillo; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Rhea Howell and Sue Sullivan, both of Union Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death her parents; husband; grandson, Aaron Helmick; sister, Beatrice Kramer; and a brother, James Lowden Jr.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Ron Stambaugh officiating.
Visitation will be from noon – 3 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, prior to the service at the funeral home.
