Donald Chapman Obituary

Auburn – Donald R Chapman, 78 of Auburn passed away Sunday January 12, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born March 18, 1946 in Butler to Clarence and Arleen (Synesall) Chapman.

Don honorably served in the United States Army for three years, demonstrating dedication and commitment to his country.

Don worked at the former County Line Cheese factory in Auburn, Dana Corporation in Kendallville and owned and operated Chappie’s Scrap Service in Auburn.

Don is survived by his wife, Pam (Hopkins) Chapman. They were married on July 2, 2002 in Auburn. Also surviving are 3 sons and 2 step daughters, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Julie Chapman of Auburn, sister, Margaret Pommert of Fort Wayne and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brother in laws, Donna and Roy Wade, Janice Kimpel and Jack Pommert, nephew, Steve Carper, 2 nieces, Debbie Kimpel and Krystal Emerick.

Services will be at 12 noon Friday January17, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN 46793 with burial to follow in Waterloo Cemetery.
