Waterloo – Donald Herndon, 71 of Waterloo died Saturday March 31, 2018 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice home in Fort Wayne. He was born March 17, 1947 in Warrior Mines, West Virginia to James and Magdlen (Bowen) Herndon. They have both passed away as has a sister Lynn Hurd. Don worked at Weatherhead in Angola, Dana Corporation in Auburn, Transguard in Angola and part time at AirWay in Hamilton. He loved to play golf. Don is survived by his wife Pam (Lutz) Herndon of Waterloo. Also survived by2 sons and daughter in laws, Mike and Lisa Herndon of Fremont and Todd and Shelly Herndon of Angola; a former exchange student they hosted and have been close to for 30 years, Poul Erik Andersen of Denmark; 4 grandchildren, Brooke Sutton and her husband Adam of Auburn, Nick Herndon of Fremont, Jeffrey Herndon of Fremont and Beau Herndon of Angola; a great granddaughter Willow Sutton; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Junior (Peg) Herndon of Fort Wayne, Jerry (Bernice) Herndon of Farmland, Carol (Al) Surpas of Muncie, Wanda (Rick) Fix of Farmland and Shirlene (Hubie) Tinsman of Belize. A Memorial service will be 1 PM Friday April 6, 2018 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with Pastor John Bruney officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 in the evening and also 1 hour prior to the service Friday from noon to 1 at the funeral home.
