It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Nelson Johnson III, 35, of Auburn, Indiana who passed away in Steuben County Indiana at his future residence.
Donald was born August 20, 1989 in Auburn, Indiana. Donald was the Son of Donald Nelson Johnson II and Vicki Lynn Johnson (Jackson).
Donald (Donny) was a loyal and devoted son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.
He is survived by his grandmother Sandra Kay Johnson (Oberlin) of Auburn, IN, his father Donald Nelson Johnson II of Auburn, IN, his two brothers, Nicholas James Johnson and Allen Michael Johnson both of Auburn, IN, his aunt Patricia Johnson of Auburn, IN, his Aunt and Uncle Andrew and Laura Lea Landers(Johnson) of Waterloo, IN and their 3 children Danielle Marie Crowe(Landers) of Butler,IN, Haley Jean Landers of Waterloo, IN, Amanda Kay Landers of Waterloo,IN, his Aunt Lynn(Shelly) Weathers(Johnson) of Chesterfield, IN and her son Michael Weathers of Waterloo, IN, his Uncle James Jackson of Missouri and daughter Renee Marie Jackson of Garrett,IN, his Aunt Kathrine Jackson of Missouri, his Aunt Sharon Henderson of Missouri, his Girlfriend Holly Renee Kimball and her 3 children, his two best friends who he referred to as brothers Dexter Crossley of Fort Wayne IN, and Austin May of Auburn, IN.
He was Predeceased in death by his Mother Vicki Johnson(Jackson) his Grandfather Donald Nelson Johnson Sr., his Grandparents Clifford and Nikki Jackson of Missouri, Uncle Carel Weathers of Chesterfield, IN.
Donny was actively in the process of achieving his dreams of opening his own Auto Repair Shop called Turning Wrenches, He worked several years as an auto mechanic at XTREME Auto Sales. Outside of his Career, Donny was known for his passion of race cars and bull riding. Donny was an active crew team member of May Motorsports #69 and Boo Hoo Motorsports #1, he was on the APA Pool League, Donny enjoyed Volunteering at the Dekalb County Fair Horse and Pony Pulls. If you couldn’t find him in the garage he most likely was lending a hand to any friend that was in need. Donny had a BIG heart as some might call it a heart of gold, his most prized item in life was LOVE, he loved to be loved and he loved loving. Donny will be remembered for his generosity, his laughter, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Please join us Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 6PM for a funeral service to remember Donny. We are gathering at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn for the service. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and all are welcome. Memorials can be given in memory of Donny to the funeral home to help with expenses. Donny’s friends and family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
