Donald E Klotz Jr

Auburn – Donald E Klotz Jr, 58, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Donald was born February 27, 1968 in Fort Wayne to Donald E. and Dorothy Sue (Charlton) Klotz. Don lost his mother early in life and he was raised by his grandparents, Edman and Francis Charlton. His parents and grandparents have passed away as has a grandson, Matthew Damron.

He worked in security for a private security firm. He served as a volunteer Fireman for three different fire departments in the area, Waterloo, Jackson Township and Concord for 31 years. He has been Transport Driver for the DeKalb County Coroners office for a number of years.

Donald was a member of the Auburn Moose Lodge and was an organ donor, saving lives after his death.

Surviving is his fiancée, Bonnie Tresnan; 5 children, James Damron, Nicholas (Anna) Banks, Danielle Sleeper, Katelyn “Katie” (Adam Heffelfinger) Konkle and Nerissa (Mike) Smiley; grandchildren, David, Jayden, Ari, Kenize, Kealey, Dasiey, Dorothy and Elyssa; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Teresa Klotz; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Jerry Dutkiewicz; nephews, Chris Dutkiewicz and Derric Klotz; nieces, Courtney Dutkiewicz, Briggan Mueller and McKenna Klotz.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be given in memory of Donald to Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with expenses,
