Donald E. Rowe, 79, of Angola, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on August 12, 1946, in Kendallville, Indiana.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp where he served in the Vietnam War. He did his basic training for the Marine Corp at Camp Lejeune.
He married Kay Carson on May 1, 1971, at the First Church of Christ in Garrett, and she survives in Angola.
Donald retired from the Northern Indiana Fuel and light where he served as a crew supervisor.
He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Garrett.
Donald also was a member of the American Legion Post 178 of Garrett, Garrett Eagles Lodge, and the Garrett Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Also surviving are two children and their spouses, Travis Eugene and Dawn Rowe of Hamilton, and Stacie (Rowe) and Michael McGuigan of Wilmington, Ohio; three grandchildren, KayLynn McGuigan, Megan McGuigan, and Shondra McGuigan; and two great grandchildren, Evie Fifer and Onyx Fifer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willis L. Rowe; mother, Gladis (Zinn) King; and three siblings, Wayne Butch Rowe, Mary Ann Magginnis and Willis R. Rowe.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Military Honors for Don will take place at 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
