Donna J. (Shippy) Hartman

Donna J. Hartman, 99, of Corunna, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Garrett.

She was born April 19, 1925, in Auburn, Indiana, to Estel R. and Edna M. (Fisher) Shippy.

Donna married Robert A. “Bob” Hartman on Nov. 4, 1944, in Mississippi, and he passed away on Oct. 29, 2004.

Donna was a homemaker all her life on the family farm and also a salesclerk working part-time for G.C. Murphy Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1982.

She was a very active member of First Church of Christ in Garrett where she also was a member of Ladies of the Church of Christ.

Donna was a member of Fairfield Friendship Club.

Surviving are two children and their spouses, Stephen L. and Rosemary Hartman, of Corunna and Denise M. and Artie Collins, of Corunna; daughter-in-law, Melonie Hartman, of Auburn; six grandchildren, Sara (Darin) Yarian, Gina (Stephen) Kicos, Cheryl (Dan) Tvergyak, Jeff (Lonnie) Hartman, Jennifer (Chad) Seiler and Travis Collins; four step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Shippy, of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Roger A. Hartman; and a brother, Ned E. Shippy.

Services will take place at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with visitation from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brother Bud Owen and Jerry Weller will be officiating.

Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery in rural Corunna.

Visitation also will be from 4-7 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 13, 2025, at the funeral home.
